How to Play

Two players take turns dropping colored discs into a vertical 7-column, 6-row grid. Click a column to drop your disc — it falls to the lowest available row. The first player to connect four discs in a row horizontally, vertically, or diagonally wins. If the board fills up with no winner, the game is a draw. On PlayMore.gg, find an opponent through matchmaking and play in real time with your choice of time controls.

About Connect Four

Connect Four is a classic strategy game that combines simple rules with deep tactical thinking. First published in 1974 by Milton Bradley, it has been a family favorite for over 50 years. Despite its simplicity, Connect Four is a solved game — the first player can always force a win with perfect play. On PlayMore.gg, play against real opponents online with time controls (2, 3, or 5 minutes), ELO ratings, and competitive leaderboards. The game features real-time play via WebSockets, animated piece drops, and win detection with highlighted winning connections.

Scoring

Connect Four on PlayMore.gg uses an ELO rating system starting at 1200. Win against higher-rated opponents for bigger rating gains. The K-factor is 32 for your first 30 games and 16 afterward. Games are timed — if your clock runs out, you lose. Track your wins, losses, draws, and rating on your profile page.
